UWE BRISTOL
THE REQUEST:
In 2022, much to our delight as past graduates of UWE Bristol (BA(Hons) Creative and Professional Writing, Class of 2019), we were contacted by Lucy Cox, Associate Director for Interdisciplinary Discourse in the School of Arts, about a proposed ‘Fine Art Graduate Stories’ project. Having adapted to some scope and availability changes along the way, we helped showcase the successes of several Fine Art graduates, producing five interview-style written case studies.
THE WORK:
-
We organised and conducted an interview with one of the graduates
-
We transcribed four existing graduate interview videos alongside our own interview
-
We shaped a narrative for each case study, pulling key quotes from the transcripts
-
We produced five 800 to 1,250-word ‘Graduate Story’ case studies, sharing insights and exciting developments from each of the amazing Fine Art students
-
We delivered our Graduate Stories to UWE for final approval
THE RESULT:
"Syntactical were recommended to us from a mutual colleague – who runs a copywriting agency - praising their professionalism and reliability. We found both Lily and Cara to be helpful and efficient every time we spoke and the work they produced was just what we were looking for. I was particularly impressed with how flexible they were: we had to change and delay some of our requests and they were accommodating to suit us. They made it easy to work with them and I hope to do so again soon."
